GRAND PRIZE DRAW WINNERS 2012

at Whittington Village Hall
Congratulations to all the lucky winners in the Grand Prize Draw for 2012 whose tickets were drawn out by members of the audience at our Autumn Social Evening at Whittington Village Hall on 20th October.
We give special thanks to all the donors and sponsors of the prizes shown below, and to Bob Williams and George Simonczyk for all their hard work organising it.

We wish to thank everyone who bought and sold tickets again this year, raising £4,200 for Trust funds. The Prize Draw for 2013 will be launched in March and tickets will be offered to members with the Spring edition of �Cut Both Ways� due out in May.
ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
The 22nd AGM held on Friday, 15th June 2012 at Park View Centre, Brownhills was attended by nearly 50 members and supporters including Trust Patrons Chris Coburn MBE and Michael Fabricant, Member of Parliament for Lichfield. We were also delighted to have with us John Dodwell, Transition Trustee for the new Canal & River Trust, Tony Harvey (Head of Regeneration Midlands for British Waterways) and Staffordshire County Councillor Patrick Corfield (Cannock Chase - Cannock Town Centre)
Four Directors retiring by rotation were duly re-elected along with Geoff Crook, a new Director co-opted in May. Following the close of formal business John Dodwell gave a confident and reassuring analysis of the foreseeable future for the successor to British Waterways, the Canal & River Trust. He thanked the Chairman for his leadership and wished the Trust well for the future.

Dains LLP were again appointed as main examiners/auditors.
