Donations to help us in our restoration project are always very welcome, whether they are for a specific appeal or for general purposes.

In 2006 the Trust was suddenly and unexpectedly faced with the need to raise approximately £500,000 to pay for a culvert to take the Lichfield Canal under a traffic roundabout at Birmingham Road on the new Lichfield Southern Bypass. A new David Suchet Appeal was launched with the aim of raising £250,000 of the required sum, the rest of the cost to be covered by a loan. After the success of the first David Suchet Appeal which raised £320,000 to pay for navigable crossings for the new M6 Toll motorway, we are once again hoping that our supporters will be generous.

In 2007 we launched the "500 Club". For just £12 a year members get four chances of winning prizes up to £400 and our Restoration Fund stands to be boosted by up to £3,000 each year. Click here for more details.

The Regular Giving Scheme was launched in November 2003. Supporters can choose whether to make a donation to the Land Fund or the general Restoration Fund.

Another fundraising initiative is The Brick Appeal, where a donation of £20 pays for a square metre of bricks to help with restoration of locks and other features.
