A new bridge will be required at this location to replace the original bridge removed shortly after abandonment. A cranked water pipe to the side of the road indicates the profile of the original canal.

This old Canalside Pub was once kept by the Yates Family of Norton Canes. For a time it was called 'Oddfellows in the Boat' before reverting to just 'The Boat Inn'.
