LHCRT attended the Braunston Historic Boat Rally with a display stand and a few items for sale. We were presented with a cheque for £1000 and a bottle of bubbly by marina proprietor Tim Coghlan with David and Sheila Suchet.
The rally was opened by David who then raised £192 for us himself - anyone wanting a selfie with him had to put some cash into the Buckby bucket. Many thanks to David and all those who contributed.
David gave us some time on the stand for Paul Marshall to record a brief promotional message to raise the other £500,000 needed for the Tunnel Vision Fund. David also pledged to do more promotional work with us later this year towards that target. Our Patron Chris Coburn also paid a visit on Sunday. We made several good contacts which may help us in future and made an overall gain of £1443.
