Lichfield & Hatherton Canals Restoration Trust Limited

This was our 6th year exhibiting at the NEC, and our biggest stand yet, in a prominent position between the Inland Waterways Association and British Waterways stands. Despite the high cost of a larger stand, our records show a greater financial gain than in previous years. Many thanks to the excellent team of volunteers who worked hard helping to keep the stand running smoothly.

We estimate about 2,500 people visited the stand over the 9 days, including many of our members (and a number of new ones). We also launched our Grand Prize Draw 2002, and the Brick Appeal. (Click for more details)

We were delighted that David and Sheila Suchet were able to join us on the first Sunday, and after having a look round the show David spent the best part of the afternoon on our stand, chatting to fans and signing video sleeves and autographs.

Our Vice-President David Suchet was there to meet his fans and sign special edition copies of "The Missing Links" video, produced by Laurence Hogg and presented and narrated by David Suchet. David has personally signed the cover of every copy. If you haven't got yours yet it can be obtained through the Trust. (See our Sales page)
