Point of Interest Nearby

The crossing of the Lichfield to Birmingham “Cross-City Line” Railway is a major obstacle to restoration of the canal.

Designs for this new bridge being prepared together with the adjacent new Relief Road. Unfortunately the position of a sub-station and catenery support means the road and canal cannot share a common portal.

Expected to be built at the end of 2017 at a cost of £2.1m.
